Toni Fola-Alade is the CEO of Nomad, a digital bank for startups and small businesses in Nigeria, connecting them to capital, community and opportunity. Nomad raised its first round of funding during his final exams at university, making him one of the youngest digital bankers in the world, as well as one of the youngest black founders to raise venture capital. He is a First Class graduate and Davidson Scholar of St John’s College, University of Cambridge. He was the UK Youth Delegate to the G20 Summit 2020 on the Future of Work, Skills and Entrepreneurship and currently sits on the Legatum Institute’s Race Equality Commission. He is a co-founder of DoGood Africa, a Coca-Cola Foundation and Google Grant-backed non profit which provides funding and technical support for social impact projects in Africa. He has featured on BBC World News, BBC Focus on Africa, BBC’s The Today Programme, and the Financial Times.
